Long ago, in the shadowed reaches of the Mornad Mountains, there lived a mage of unmatched power. Mortal Mage was a master of all elemental magics (fire, water, air, and stone), but it was not her power that made her legend. It was her desire to create unique beings.
Mortal Mage had wandered the realms for centuries, witnessing war, blood, tears, and fear. Disappointed she was and she withdrew from the world, settled in a hidden cave untouched by time. It was time to create her Mortals.
She summoned all Mortals through her magic, and she welcomed all, embracing them as her children. She taught them everything starting with living in harmony and peace.
Mortal is a collection of 1,300 hand-drawn NFTs by an indie art studio that represents a hub for art, vibes, memes, alpha and endless opportunities.
It is a community-driven innovative project that will encourage its members/holders to bring out their creativity.
We are an indie art studio with a team of four. We consider ourselves lucky as we had connections, resources, network, funding and more to be able to build our project first on Monad and then on ETH.
However, we know that there are thousands of talented digital artists out there who are discouraged to build something meaningful on any chain because of the lack of resources and connections. We would like to provide them with an opportunity.
Digital art is growing but it is still not considered as “fine” art. We would like to change that. Our superpower is art. That’s why we are building Mortal.
Mortal aims to create a big community in Web3, which will consist of artists, art lovers and collectors. NFTs pretty much lost all their focus on art, and we believe that Mortal will be the home of “cute and real” art.
After the mint the first couple of things we did was to provide best WL opportunities and alpha calls to our holders.
We also conducted NFT swaps and NFT auctions just like the real auction houses.
Soon we will hold digital art contests with rewards. But the focus will be on Mortal art exhibits in prominent art galleries in different parts of the world.
We are in talks with some art galleries in the West Coast USA and Europe through our network. We would like to expand these exhibitions to other countries as well. We have plans to provide our art gallery network with art projects on different chains so they can showcase their art in Web2 too.
Our foundational pillar is art. So, our motto is simple: Everything must be around art during our IP building process. Any art related merchandise and limited-edition toys will be within our scope. Limited-edition toys will be a steppingstone, as we actually would like to sell our toys to masses. We are also in talks with toy makers. Figurines will be our priority. Plushies could come at a later stage, since we believe that figurines do represent our art quality better and since the plush market is too competitive. Our figurines will target collectors and art lovers. We know that targeting a very specific collector segment will be tough and niche, but we see that as the first expansion of our IP.
During this journey our NFT holders will be naturally prioritized. We will benefit from their feedback to shape our GTM strategy whenever we launch a new product under our IP.
We know that pretty much every project launches a token but at this stage we do not have concrete plans about a token. Having said that, after having an established IP and ecosystem around it, we might consider launching a token. NFT staking is something we have thought about for some time but will decide in accordance with our holder base.
